MAS-LAB Collaborates with Los Angeles Wholesale Orchestra, producing a 2-concert retrospective of Stephen "Lucky" Mosko's music. Festival features signature Mosko works (Bow Vine Song, Rais Murad and more) talks by Mosko colleagues and of course premieres of new works by some of Mosko's former students.

The premiere of Steve Lockwood's New Orleans Lowdown with choreography by Nanette Brodie features MAS-Lab's Egg Ensemble film work. Steve Lockwood has a history of breaking down borders between classical, jazz, contemporary and experimental music. Leader of his own jazz combo in Los Angeles, Lockwood played many years as Meredith Monk's keyboardist while pursuing his own work in performance and composition. New Orleans Lowdown promises to be no less adventurous than any other of Lockwood's undertakings.

Dali's Egg: Chapter 1 (Other People's Things) has been selected as a finalist in the KALAMAZOO ANIMATION FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL (KAFI), and will be screened competitively along with shorts by Bill Plympton, Peter Parr and a host of others. KAFI is the premiere animation festival of the Midwest and one of the top 20 animation festivals in the world. KAFI 2007 is the most ambitious KAFI event to date, screening the work of animators and industry veterans such as Pixar, Disney, Nickelodeon, Hanna Barbera, Electronic Arts, Cartoon Network, Adobe, Dreamworks, Animation World Network, PBSKids, and Alias. The first international screening of Dali's Egg: Chapter 1 (Other People's Things) takes place at the Academy of Fine arts in Helsinki, Finland as part of the STRANGER THAN FICTION - HELSINKI film festival. The festival is an extension of the STRANGER THAN FICTION festival that took place in San Francisco at The Lab in July 2006. Egg Ensemble will preview the first stages of their inter-media work DALi’S eGg as part of the CalArts/Barnsdall Art Park presentation "Half Hour from Home: CalArts Alumni at Barnsdall." This performance will showcase new video from award winning animator Randall Wakerlin, text performed by Pacific Northwest author Ann Haroun and a live, surround-sound musical experience by Los Angeles composer Nicholas Chase.
